Epoxy Ocean Table with Smartlight Base

Made at the end of 2024, this was my first attempt working with epoxy. The design is an ocean effect (the classic epoxy project) combined with Australian red mallee burls to form 'islands' surrounded by waves. To add a bit of originality to this, I made a custom base for the tabletop to sit upon, with a Philips Hue striplight inset under the surface. This can be programmed with custom lighting sequences, so I programmed it to softly pulse along the lightstrip, which creates the effect of sunlight refracting off of an ocean surface.
